The residency program has flourished within the area’s network of healthcare providers for decades. The UW Family Medicine community-based program has an 6-6-6 residency model, serving more than 6,000 people each year with a full spectrum of family medicine to patients of all ages. Services include women’s health, osteopathic medicine, sports medicine, behavioral health, nursing home care and palliative care, geriatric care, internal medicine and medication management, care coordination, specialty and procedure clinics, patient education and inpatient hospital care.
